President Ruto has announced that HomaBay County will host the 2025 Mashujaa Day celebrations at Raila Odinga Stadium

During the official opening of the second HomaBay County International Investment Conference on Tuesday, February 27, Ruto Ruto disclosed that the event would be held at the Raila Odinga Stadium on October 20.

Governor Wanga said her county has a modern stadium that is currently being used to host the Kenya Premier League sports tournament.

“Kindly consider HomaBay for next year’s venue for a national holiday. We have a facility where large gatherings can take place,” Wanga said.

The government has a system whereby national celebrations are held in different counties each year, and only Kisumu and Kisii counties have held such events in ODM leader Raila Odinga’s backyard.
