Jurgen Klopp speaks out on Liverpool’s potential to sign out of contract PSG star player, Kylian Mbappe.
Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he would like to bring Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool, but that he will not be able to be a part of the ‘battles’ to sign the striker.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists the club is interested in signing Kylian Mbappe, but concedes the Reds will not be able to compete with Real Madrid for the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
PSG’s contract with the 23-year-old expires at the end of the season, and it’s been reported that the forward has agreed to join Madrid on a free transfer this summer.
According to reports in Spain, Liverpool made a late move for Mbappe, but while the France international is impressed by Liverpool’s interest, he is set on joining Real Madrid.

Klopp concedes that he would love Mbappe in his squad but says Liverpool ‘cannot be part of these battles’.
‘Of course, we are interested in Kylian Mbappe, we are not blind,’ said Klopp.
‘We like him and if you don’t like him then you have to question yourself
‘But, no, we are not, we cannot be part of these battles.
‘There must be other clubs involved and that is fine. He is a great player.’
Speaking about his future on Sunday, Mbappe said: ‘It will be known very soon, it’s almost done.
‘My decision is made, yes, almost. You have to respect all parties.
‘I know that people expected a lot from me. That’s normal. I’m in a hurry too. But it’s not only about me.
‘But here it is, it’s finished right now, there are just some details left.’
