Kalonzo and Gachagua forced me out of Wiper; Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna amid UDA links
Mwingi West Member of Parliament (MP) Charles Nguna has once again reiterated that he is exiting Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) Party ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In what comes as a big blow to WPF Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, MP Nguna insisted that he will not be defending his parliamentary seat on a Wiper ticket come 2027.
Speaking at Mbondoni Primary School during the commissioning of a new administration block on Tuesday, May 5, the lawmaker — who will be seeking for a third term in office — maintained he was a loyal member of the Wiper Party, but was allegedly pushed out by Kalonzo and his DCP Party counterpart Rigathi Gachagua.

Although he did not reveal the party he will be seeking re-election with, all indications point to Nguna joining President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
His remarks come two weeks after Kalonzo and Gachagua led a delegation to Mwingi West, where they campaigned against him, accusing him of aligning himself with the UDA Party.
In response, Nguna defended his position, stating that his cooperation with President Ruto’s Broad-based Government is aimed at working closely with national leadership to bring development projects to the people of Mwingi West.
