KNEC unveils timetable for KPSEA National Assessment

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has released the upcoming Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) timetable

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has released the upcoming Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) timetable.

As the timetable reveals, the national assessment will begin on Friday, October 25 and end on Wednesday, October 30.

Friday, October 25 was highlighted as the rehearsal day. The assessment for various subjects will begin on Monday, October 28 with students sitting for their Mathematics and English papers.

On Tuesday, October 29, Grade Six students will sit for Integrated Science and Kiswahili papers.

Creative Arts & Social Studies will be the last paper and undertaken during the morning hours of Wednesday, October 30.

Further, KNEC also issued guidelines that will be followed during the national assessment.

For instance, no students will be allowed to leave the examination room when the papers are being done unless when given special permission by the supervisor.

“No communication whatsoever in whatever manner between candidates or with outsiders is allowed during the assessment,” read the regulations in part.

“You are not allowed to have in your possession or in your proximity while in the assessment room, any book, notes, papers or any other materials whatsoever except the correct question papers and any materials expressly authorized by the Kenya National Examinations Council.”

Additionally, the candidates were warned against engaging in exam malpractice.

“A candidate who commits an assessment irregularity in any paper will have the results for the whole subject cancelled. Such a candidate will not be entitled to a result for the subject. This will be reflected as (00),” KNEC warned.

“If there is evidence of widespread irregularities in any assessment centre, the assessment results for the whole centre will be cancelled.”
