Liverpool FC ‘closing in on signings of three youngsters’
Liverpool FC are reportedly close to sealing the signatures of three up-and-coming youngsters ahead of the summer transfer window.
Although there has yet to be an official statement on the 16-year-arrival, the Reds appear to have sealed a deal to bring Celtic’s Ben Doak to the club.
However, Liverpool FC is said to have reached an agreement in principle to sign Doak, who will be one of three new Anfield stars for the 2022-23 season.
Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho and Derry City winger Trent Kone-Doherty are both expected to join Doak on Merseyside after agreeing terms with the Reds, according to Football Insider.
Carvalho was on the verge of joining Liverpool on January transfer deadline day, but the paperwork was not completed in time, and he ended up staying at Craven Cottage.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old attacker Kone-Doherty already represents the Under-19s at Derry City and has scored twice in five appearances for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-16 side.
