Manchester City agree personal terms with their dream signing; deal closing
Manchester City agree personal terms with their dream signing (Marc Cucurella) as reports suggest talks are in an advanced stage.
Man City have agreed personal terms with Marc Cucurella and are in advanced talks to finalize a fee with Brighton.
According to Football Insider the left-back, 23, has accepted City’s contract offer.
He has even made clear to Brighton that he wants to leave this summer transfer.
Football Insider reports that a full agreement is not in place as the two clubs have not yet agreed on a price.
However, negotiations have now reached an advanced stage according to reports.
Marc Cucurella was named Brighton’s player of the year in his inaugural season in English football.
And Pep Guardiola has identified him as the ideal fit for the attacking left-back role.
Brighton are keen to keep Cucurella, but City’s interest is proving too difficult to resist.
City have made Cucurella one of their two top marquee targets, along with Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips, after securing the sensational signing of Erling Haaland.
They have already submitted a bid for Phillips and the player has made it clear behind the scenes he wants to head to the Etihad Stadium.
