Manchester City predicted XI as Guardiola makes Haaland and Grealish decisions ahead of Aston Villa clash.

Aston Villa faces an enormous task to reverse their poor start to the season as they host Pep Guardiola’s star-studded Manchester City side this evening.

To avoid having four losses turn into five after the first four weeks of the season, Steven Gerrard’s team has their work cut out for them.

For the match against Villa, Guardiola might be missing two players, as both Kalvin Phillips and Aymeric Laporte are questionable to play.

In the meantime, Nathan Ake and former Villa captain Jack Grealish have both resumed training after recovering from injuries.

Kevin De Bruyne rested against Nottingham Forest in midweek, could well return to City’s starting XI as Guardiola makes a decision on Erling Haaland, who could start his third game in seven days. 

From back to front, Ederson will start to in goal for City, while. a back-four of Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, John Stone, and Joao Cancelo will likely play ahead of the Brazilian goalkeeper.

In midfield, De Bruyne should be recalled to the XI, while Rodri and Bernado Silva are set to take up the two slots beside him in the middle of the park. Despite Grealish’s return to fitness, Phil Foden is likely to take the start on the left flank and supporter Haaland with Riyad Mahrez.
