NARC Kenya officials and members Martha Karua to be Raila Odinga successor ahead of 2027 general elections.

A section of Narc Kenya officials have declared their support for their party leader Martha Karua in the 2027 General Election.

Addressing the media, the officials voiced their support for Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s bid for the AU Commission chairperson seat.

The officials said after Raila’s departure then, the leader to support in the 2027 polls would be their party leader.

They emphasised their commitment to Azimio, explaining that the party had not left the once behemoth coalition party.

However, they explained that they would be willing to work with any other party that shares in their manifesto.

“Now they should know that our president will be from Narc Kenya in 2027 because Raila is aiming for a higher position; bigger than the Kenyan presidency. So, we will support Martha Karua wholeheartedly until she attains that position. And also, for those asking if she has left the Azimio coalition, she hasn’t. We will collaborate with any party whose manifesto aligns with ours at Narc Kenya. We will unite and continue working together,” he said.

The officials further explained that Karua’s ability was unrivalled, highlighting her contributions to Azimio during the 2022 polls.

According to the officials, Karua’s work during the 2022 polls had catapulted her to the spokesperson of the vote-rich Mt Kenya region.

“We have agreed that only this lady can lead our country so that we can have justice. Because even recently, in our past politics, among the players in the Azimio coalition, all of you knew that Martha Karua was the one performing well in her politics, and even in the Mount Kenya region, I think she was the spokesperson,” they added.
