MP survives an accident after her car overturns
MP Caroline Ng’elechei, Elgeyo Marakwet Woman Representative involved in a road accident along the Moim- Kapkoi Road in Uasin Gishu County.
According to reports, the accident occurred after the vehicle’s brakes failed which caused the motor vehicle to overturn and roll several times.
However, the MP and her driver did not sustain any major injuries following the early morning accident on Monday.
The politician’s vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser, was in widely circulated photos depicted in the middle of the narrow murram road having been considerably damaged.
The car was missing one of its tail lights due to the impact of the accident.
The vehicle appeared to have rolled over a few times before landing on its side.

The accident happens after Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi was last week involved in an accident in Chuka, Meru County.
The lawmaker, however, also escaped unhurt.
Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah also escaped unhurt in a road accident along the Kisumu-Busia highway on Friday, February 16 after his vehicle hit a trailer.
Meanwhile, data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) shows that between January 1 and February 11, 2024, about 563 people lost their lives to road accidents.
