Mudavadi warns distractors days after President William Ruto gave him more powers.
On January 10, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi issued a warning to anyone attempting to obstruct his duties in the government.
While expressing his willingness to help Kenyans from all walks of life, Mudavadi pleaded with the political class to let him get to work.
“I will be demonstrating to those who want to distract us that we mean business,” Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi warned.
Mudavadi added that his Office is ready to deliver to Kenyans under the mandate assigned to it by the Head of State.
The Prime Cabinet Secretary challenged government officials not to be part of the team that will be derailing the service delivery to the public.
“Kenyans want the change they were promised by the Kenya Kwanza team, which has since formed government,” Mudavadi emphasized.

The former ANC party leader warned that leaders must stop being selfish and turn their energies towards liberating the country for the betterment of all citizens for there is no dignity in poverty.
Mudavadi emphasized again the commitment made by top government officials, including President William Ruto, at the Cabinet retreat to free every Kenyan from the bonds of poverty.
“I believe quite a number of Kenyans have had an opportunity to listen to a very popular ringtone that notes, “there is no dignity in poverty”.
“This can only be achieved if leaders are honourable enough to uphold ethical and dignified approaches in serving the citizenry,” Mudavadi noted.
President Ruto revised the organization of government on January 9 and issued Executive Order Number One of 2023, which placed the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s office to the Executive Office of the President.
Mudavadi will be in charge of the government delivery services as well as the Public Service Performance Management Unit.
Additionally, Mudavadi was tasked by President Ruto with coordinating the government’s legislative agenda and working with Interior CS Kithure Kindiki to oversee ministries and state departments.
