My “earthquake” shook Uhuru from his hideout: “Ametoka Mafichoni” ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi claims
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has claimed his “earthquake” shook President Uhuru Kenyatta from his hideout.
He says the move to revive his working relationship with Deputy President William Ruto startled President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On January 23, Mudavadi, during ANC’s National Delegates Convention, announced he would work with his long-term nemesis Ruto, an announcement he likened to an earthquake.
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi said Uhuru sensed defeat after the earthquake declaration and came out of hiding to openly campaign for ODM leader Raila Odinga, his favored successor, during the Kenya Kwanza political gathering in Kakamega.
In his speech, he urged people to reject Raila’s presidency, claiming that the former prime minister was being exploited by Uhuru to stay in power after his tenure expired.
“Yeye anataka aweke Raila kama project number one, ili awe remote control, akifinya Raila ruka, Raila anaruka, akifinya enda left, Raila anaenda left, akifinya right, nyinyi mnataka serikali ya remote control (Uhuru wants Raila to succeed him so that he can control him like a remote),” he added.
