Suspect, Anne Adhiambo in Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo's murder pleads guilty

DCI detectives now reveal suspect in Nairobi Hospital Finance manager Eric Maigo murder case is not a minor and is fit to stand trial.

It has been established that the primary suspect in the murder of Nairobi Hospital Finance Eric Maigo is older than 18 years old and fit to stand trial.

Doctors at the Mathari Hospital in Nairobi have proved that Anne Adhiambo is of sound mind and above 18 years old, therefore, an adult fit for trial.

Contrary to earlier allegations that she might be a minor aged 17 to 18 years old, tests showed that Adhiambo was between the ages of 20 and 21.

On September 15, Adhiambo was captured on CCTV cameras leaving the late Maigo’s house in Woodley Estate before leaping over the fence.

The suspect was later arrested at the Olympic area in Kibra on September 26 after a manhunt by detectives backed by a tip-off from the public.

The body of the Nairobi Hospital Finance Director was found at his home with 25 stab wounds, but the reason for his heinous murder is still being investigated.

After her arraignment on September 27, the prosecution requested more days to enable more investigations and establish her mental state and fitness to face trial.

She is scheduled to be charged with the murder of the Nairobi Hospital Finance Director on the 28th of this month after lapse of 21 days.

Anne Akinyi Adhiambo already recorded a statement with the police and will await her trial after the 21-day lapse.

The family accused the media of misreporting Maigo’s murder and demanded justice from the authorities citing cover-up.

“I am very sad and hurt by the killing of my grandson. Stop killing people. God has commanded us to respect life. I pray that God will comfort my children,” Maigo’s grandfather stated.
