The ODM party’s National Delegates Conference will take place on the same dates as the reigning Jubilee party.

The meeting will be held at Nyayo stadium, according to a notice from the ODM secretary-general.

“Please take notice, pursuant to article 7.2 as reading together with article 7.5.3 of the Orange Democratic movement constitution, that the National delegates convention shall be held on the 25th and 26th February 2022 at the National Stadium from 9:00 Am,” the Notice by Sifuna reads.

A combined session between the two parties will be conducted during the NDC when Raila will be endorsed for the presidency.

Last Monday, Jubilee vice-chairman David Murathe declared that the party will form a twin NDC with the ODM party, culminating in Raila’s announcement as the joint presidential candidate at Nyayo National Stadium.

All members of the National Executive Committee, all chairpersons of Branch executive committees, and all members of the party’s parliamentary group are expected to attend the ODM meeting.

All members of the governors’ and deputy governors’ councils, as well as all members of the regional coordinating committee, majority and minority leaders in each county assembly, and a number of other party officials, are expected to participate.

Consideration and confirmation of the minutes of the NDC conducted on March 17th, 2017 at Kasarani Indoor Gymnasium, as well as consideration and approval of the NGC decision are on the agenda.

The ruling Jubilee party is planning a similar gathering, during which it will decide to support Raila.
