Oscar Sudi takes a jibe at impeached DP Gachagua

Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has critiqued the style of leadership exercised by impeached Rigathi Gachagua

Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has critiqued the style of leadership exercised by impeached Rigathi Gachagua.

Sudi said the impeachment undertaken in Parliament was a just course for the country because it ended Gachagua’s reign as the DP, which he says was divisive.

“Kenya is bigger than any one individual. Today I am in Meru, joining hands with fellow Kenyans and reminding tribal leaders that they have no place in a country of over 50 million Kenyans.

“In Parliament, we never touched the mountain; we just ousted a selfish leader trying to box diligent and patriotic Kenyans into a tribal cocoon.

The country needs a deputy president who would unify the country,” Sudi said in a statement posted on his X handle on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

In a video that accompanied his statement, the MP stressed that tribalism has no place in Kenya because the whole country belongs to everyone.

Sudi said that the communities that are predominant in the Mount Kenya region have spread across the country and that they are the true picture of what being a Kenyan is.

Ile maneno tuliona 2007/08 kuna mtu anataka turudie hio maneno? Si itakuwa ujinga ile haujawahi ona siku ingine? That is why hatutaki kiongozi anasukuma watu wake kwa kona fulani,” he continued to say.

To Sudi, the impeachment against Gachagua was long overdue, as he said the former Mathira Member of Parliament was pushing the country into one divided by ethnicity.

“Ile kitu tulifanya bunge si eti tulifanya kimzaha tulifanhya juu tuliona akienda kupiganisha sisi.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has already been nominated and approved to take over from Gachagua.
