Queen Elizabeth II is under close medical supervision as her doctors are said to be concerned about her health condition.

The doctors for Queen Elizabeth II say they are “concerned for Her Majesty’s health,” according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Doctors have recommended the Queen remain under medical supervision. “The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” the statement also says.

“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” they said in a statement.

The announcement on Thursday comes a day after the 96-year-old monarch canceled a meeting of her Privy Council and was told to rest.

The palace says the queen is “comfortable” and remains at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where she has spent the summer.

Her immediate family has been informed.

Prime Minister Liz Truss said, “the whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.”

“My thoughts — and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom — are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time,” she said on Twitter.

The Queen has been on a summer break at her Scottish home since July.

Meanwhile, Britain’s Prince Charles and Prince William have traveled to Queen Elizabeth’s residence at Balmoral Castle in Scotland following news that doctors were concerned for her health.
