Raila Odinga Already Settled on Martha Karua For Running Mate Position, Taifa Leo Has Reported.
Taifa Leo newspaper has reported that the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has already settled on Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua as his running mate.
Former Gatanga member of parliament Peter Kenneth was initially seen as an automatic candidate for the running mate position.

However, Taifa Leo revealed that after deliberations at State House Nairobi presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta, the ODM leader was asked to opt either for Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka or Karua.
On basis of anonymity, Taifa Leo reports that Raila ruled out his joint candidature with Kalonzo, stating that he would settle on Kitui governor Charity Ngilu if he were to pick a running mate from the Ukambani region.
“Raila settled on Karua and insisted that if he were to pick a running mate from Ukambani, he would go for Charity Ngilu other than Kalonzo,” said the source.
The revelations come amid hot contestation for the running mate position in the Azimio camp.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his allies have insisted he’s the most suitable candidate to be Raila’s running mate.
It also comes after Raila Odinga formed a seven-member council to advise him on who he should choose as his running mate.
The council has to submit names by May 10.
