Ralf Rangnick makes major Man United transfer decision over Chelsea player
2 min readRalf Rangnick makes a major Man United transfer decision prise the out of favour Chelsea forward away from west London.
With everything he has done to his backroom staff, Ralf Rangnick has made a big powerplay to lure Chelsea’s Timo Werner to join him at Man United.
Chelsea fans expect to see their frontman start to fire their team chases for more silverware this season.
However, this could be to the ex-RB Leipzig man’s detriment, as he could be on his way out of the club in the next transfer windows as the west Londoners hunt for a quick cure to their attacking problems.
As a result, recent German speculations tying Rangnick to a surprise bid for the £47.5 million man, who is clearly suffering from a confidence crisis in front of goal, as evidenced by his disappointing performance against the Red Devils in the 1-1 Premier League tie recently, are unsurprising.
Manchester United’s new interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, wants a reunion with Werner, according to Bild reporter Christian Falk.
And what the 63-year-old has done to back up these claims, as the ex-Lokomotiv Moscow sporting director has hired Werner’s future father-in-law to his backroom staff in what appears to be a powerplay to tempt the 25-year-old to leave the Premier League.
Paula Magdelena Lense, 46, is the father of Chelsea player Sascha Mense, with whom she has been dating for the past four years.
One Bundesliga expert hailed him as “a top mental coach who will assist Rangnick in getting inside the thoughts of United’s players.”
His family will now have to choose between supporting Liverpool or Werner’s title-chasing Chelsea.
When Mense was working at Leipzig, he introduced Magdelena Lense to Werner, and the German international was the team’s top player, scoring 19 goals during their time together.
So, theoretically, there is no one better to bring the best out of Chelsea’s number 11 than the temporary Manchester United boss, who has previously recognized the impact the interim manager has had on his career.
