Ruto and CSs make appointments in the government

President William Ruto has appointed Ndungu Gathinji as the chairperson of the Tea Board of Kenya

President William Ruto has appointed Ndungu Gathinji as the chairperson of the Tea Board of Kenya.

Through a Gazette Notice published on Monday, February 17, Ruto indicated that Gathinji would serve on the board for 3 years.

Consequently, the Head of State revoked the appointment of Jacob Kamau Kahiu.

In other changes in government, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi appointed Kungu Muigai as the chairperson of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council.

Mudavadi also appointed John Odek Odek as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Museums of Kenya.

On his part, Education CS Julius Ogamba appointed Yussuf Abdullahi Mohammed and Rosemary Talaso to be members of the National Council for Nomadic Education in Kenya for 3 years.

At the Ministry of Energy, CS Opiyo Wandayi appointed Sally Akinyo Omotto as a board member of the National Oil Corporation of Kenya.

Equally, at the Ministry of Transport, CS Davis Chirchir appointed Fozia Ali Hassan as a member of the Transport Licensing Appeals Board.

Other changes across the government were effected by Labour CS Alfred Mutua who appointed Mwinyi Mohamed Jahazi, Captain Peter Munga, and Julius Segera to the Seafarers Wages Council.

As noted by Mutua, Jahazi will serve as the chairperson of the council while the other two serve as members.
