Ruto appoints 49 Principal Secretaries (PSs); rewards loyalists (LIST)

Ruto on Wednesday, November 2, appointed 49 Principal Secretaries (PSs) for appointment to various ministries in his government. 

President William Ruto’s Chief of Staff Felix Koskei unveiled a list of the Head of State’s preferred picks to occupy the 49 positions of Principal Secretary positions.

The list had a number of the President’s loyalists who lost in the August polls.

“The Presidential Action is pursuant to Article 155 (3)(a) of the Constitution by dint of Executive Action, the nomination have been transmitted to the National Assembly for the consideration and approval by Parliament with the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act (No. 33 of 2011),” Chief of Staff, Felix Kosgey stated.

On the dispatch from State House Spokesperson, Hussein Mohammed, those appointed included Julius Korir and Teresia Mbaika in the Office of the Deputy President.
