Trent Alexander-Arnold out – How Liverpool could line up against Watford
2 min readTrent Alexander-Arnold has been missing due to a hamstring issue and won’t feature for Liverpool against Watford for Saturday game.
Alexander-Arnold suffered a hamstring injury against Arsenal and won’t feature in the Premier League game tomorrow.
However, Liverpool are hopeful that he will be fit in time to face Manchester City next week.
The Reds do have positive news on the availability front, too, as James Milner and Andy Robertson are back after a spell away due to Covid isolation.
Like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Naby Keita had to withdraw from international duties due to what was described as a “minor” knee injury.
He will be assessed closer to the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah both featured in extra time and penalties in World Cup qualifying during the week, so Jurgen Klopp may opt to give the pair a rest, especially with huge matches in the Premier League and Champions League on the horizon.
Alisson will start in goal behind a likely back four of Milner, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk and Robertson.
Thiago, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho will likely feature in midfield.
Should Klopp decide to rest Mane and Salah, then we’ll see a fluid front three of Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz.
