A section of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party MPs intensify calls to have Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro succeed President William Ruto.

Speaking during a burial in Kiharu, a section of UDA MPs and Ruto’s inner circle openly endorsed Nyoro to take over after president Ruto retires.

Addressing the mourners, Kiambaa MP John Njuguna Wanjiku stated that they can see the country’s future under Nyoro.

“The future of our country is so important, and when you look at that picture, we can see something in Ndindi Nyoro,” he said amid cheers.

This comes even after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has, in recent weeks, held meetings in the Mt Kenya region calling for unity among residents and leaders.

DP is on a mission to rally support behind him as the region’s spokesperson following former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s retirement.

The 2027 and 2032 succession politics are also at play, with Nyoro getting the backing from youthful leaders to succeed Ruto.

In his address, digital strategist and an integral cog of the UDA machinery that catapulted President William Ruto stated that when the time comes they would have a conversation.

He said they would make the pronouncement in Kiharu since they had seen Nyoro’s track record.

“As young people, we must come together, and here in Kiharu, we will announce the president when he comes from here because we have seen the work he has done,” he stated.

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, a critic of some of Gachagua’s policies, was also in attendance.
