Irungu Kang’ata sends appeal after UDA MCA hospitalised fafter lung failure.
Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata has sent out an appeal for financial support to help a Murang’a nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) who is currently hospitalized.
In the appeal shared by Kang’ata on Tuesday night, November 12, the Murang’a County Assembly invited members of the public for a fundraising dinner of the MCA, Mark Wainaina.
The fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, November 15, at Sagret Hotel, Milimani, Nairobi, from 6:00 p.m.
Wainaina, who was nominated under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, was diagnosed with a severe pulmonary disease that resulted in the failure of his lungs.
‘”The Murang’a County Assembly Members Caucus invites you to a fundraising dinner in aid of one of our Members, Hon. Mark G. Wainaina, who has been diagnosed with a severe pulmonary disease that has caused both of his lungs to fail,’’ read part of the appeal.
Sharleen Wambui, a Murang’a MCA, noted that Wainaina was currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as she reiterated the financial appeal.

“Family and friends, we invite you to help us raise some funds for our brother Mark Wainaina who is currently being treated for severe pneumonia, which has caused all his vital organs to stop functioning and is currently in the ICU. Please support us,” Wambui stated.
She, however, disclosed that doctors were doing their best to ensure the hospitalized MCA receives the best medical care.
“I understand the deep emotions surrounding this situation, and I want to assure you all that Mark is still fighting, and the doctors at the hospital are doing everything possible to provide him with the best care and treatment. While it’s a challenging time, please rest assured that his medical team remains dedicated and committed to his recovery,” Wambui explained.
