DP William Ruto says President Uhuru Kenyatta blatantly shot down his efforts to meet and reconcile with him.
It is an open secret that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy President William Ruto have had disagreements since their second term in office.
The two leaders have been engaging in a public spat with endless accusations.
There have been efforts from religious leaders to reconcile the two leaders but to no avail.
And on Thursday, 7, July DP Ruto lifted the lid on ongoings between president Kenyatta and him.
Speaking to KTN News, DP Ruto claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta turned down efforts to end the bad blood between them.
DP William Ruto says he tried to extend an olive branch to his boss but blatantly shot it down even with the intervention of religious leaders.
“Bishops talk to me. They talk to the President too. When they came to me, I told them I want to have a chat with my boss. He flatly refused,” Ruto said.
He admitted that the bad blood between them was getting out of control accusing Uhuru of humiliating him.
The DP explained that he had endured a lot of humiliation, adding that if it were ODM leader Raila Odinga or Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, they would have taken drastic measures.
“It is really unfortunate, and I regret the rivalry has gone this way. I have been a very patient person, the kind of humiliation I have been subjected to by my boss, nobody could have taken it. If it was Raila Odinga or Martha Karua, they could have done dreadful things already,” Ruto said.
