Police are investigating the death of a 27-year-old student whose body was found in a toilet after suspected suicide along Kirinyaga Road, Nairobi.
His family said Franklin Ondwari was a student at the University of Nairobi.
His decomposing body was found hanging on the window of the toilet where he lived with his friend.
He had been missing since July 17 after leaving his mobile phone while charging.
Police said the deceased’s friend who has been living with him at the house had smelt a foul smell from the toilet.
When he checked the source of the smell he found the body hanging on a rope.

“His friend and roommate reported that he smelt a soul smell coming from the toilet and when he went to check he found the body hanging on a rope,” states a Police report
The students stayed on the 20th floor of a residential house along Kirinyaga Road.
Police said the motive of the incident is yet to be established and that a probe had been launched into the same.
The body was removed to Nairobi Funeral Home pending autopsy and investigations.
