You’re an old man following a young boy; Governor Oparanya Chides Musalia Mudavadi
Governor Oparanya has ridiculed ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, describing him as an old man following a little boy.
The Kakamega County boss scoffed at Mudavadi for joining forces with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the August polls.
On January 23, Mudavadi, during the ANC’s National Delegates Convention, announced he would work with his long-term nemesis Ruto, an announcement that was likened to an earthquake.
Governor Oparanya stated that an older man like Musalia following a young man like Ruto was absurd.
He went on to say that the former Finance Minister was a shame to the Luhya community, which has been trying for a long time to take over the country’s government.
“For all these years, the Luhya community has been strategizing how one of us can ascend to the top seat but we usually confuse ourselves at the last minute. For instance, look at what Mudavadi has done, how can an old man like him shelve his ambition and support a young man like Ruto. Musalia is too old compared to Ruto,” said Oparanya.
Following Mudavadi’s decision, the Kakamega governor claimed that a majority of his ANC colleagues had defected to Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja organization.
He went on to say that the politicians who are leaving the ANC are doing so voluntarily, denying the idea that they are being bribed.
