NPSC unveils the List of 10 candidates shortlisted to replace EX-DCI boss George Kinoti.
On Sunday, October 9, the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) released a list of ten candidates to succeed George Kinoti as the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
From the 253 applicants that filed applications for the security chief position, the list was severely trimmed down to ten candidates.
In a statement, NPSC stated that all 10 candidates had received a notice to appear for interviews at Kenya School of Government, lower Kabete in Nairobi.
Shortlisted candidates to replace EX-DCI boss Kinoti
The shortlisted candidates are Amin Ibrahim Mohamed from Wajir, Bernard Barasa Walumoli from Bungoma, Eliud Kipkoech Lagat from Nandi, Gideon Nyale Munga from Kilifi and Esther Chepkosgei Seroney from Elgeyo Marakwet.
Others are Dr. Simon Mwangi Wanderi of Nyandarua, David Kipkosgey Birech of Nandi, Jonyo Michael Wiso of Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nicholas Ireri Kamwende of Embu, Paul Jimmie Ndambuki of Machakos, and Nicholas Ireri Kamwende of Embu.
“The National Police Service Commission has shortlisted 10 candidates suitable for the position of Director, Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
“The 10 candidates, each of whom seeks to fill the vacant position left by former DCI Director George Kinoti, CBS, have been invited for interviews and vetting on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Kenya School of Government, lower Kabete in Nairobi,” announced NPSC.
The interviews are slated to take place on Tuesday, October 11.
They will kick off at 8:45 am and close at 5:00 pm with each candidate expected to spend roughly 45 minutes.
