Francis Atwoli makes appeal to US President-Elect Donald Trump

The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has congratulated United States President-elect Donald Trump for his victory

The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has congratulated United States President-elect Donald Trump for his victory.

While relaying his congratulatory message on Thursday, November 7, Atwoli appealed to Trump to bring sanity to what he described as the rise of ungodly leaders.

Atwoli claimed that the ungoldly leaders have perpetuated ungoldy policies, maintaining that Kenya is a God-fearing nation.

“The Central Organization of Trade Unions (Kenya), COTU (K), would like to congratulate President-elect Donald J. Trump following his election as the 47th President of the United States of America. Indeed, we thank God for saving and protecting Trump to lead America at such a critical time.

“As Kenyan workers, it remains our hope and trust that President Trump will usher in the much needed sanity considering the rise of ungodly leaders with ungodly public policies, which transcend their borders, on the very platform. Kenyan workers are a people from a God-fearing nation and thus we will always stand with President Donald J. Trump,” Atwoli remarked.

“As such, the election of President Trump is not only a win for stability at the global stage, but also fresh air of sanity and action oriented leadership,” Atwoli explained.

He added, “We equally hope and trust that President Trump will recognize and work with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) to enhance the welfare and interests of the American workers whose votes contributed to his victory.”

Trump was elected as the 47th President of the United States on Wednesday, November 6, after beating his closest competitor, Kamala Harris.
