Concerning her legacy while in office, Whitman expressed that she had done a remarkable job in marketing Kenya as an investment hub.
She noted that many American investors had already invested in Kenya, adding that the country had a lot of potential.
“Since arriving in 2022, I have travelled to 28 counties and I have seen first-hand how the United States and Kenya are working together to build a stronger future for both our countries,” the diplomat stated.
“I began my time as an ambassador giving speeches posing the question of why Africa and why Kenya. Nobody is asking that anymore because the word is out.”
Whitman resigned as the US Ambassador to Kenya following the election of Donald Trump in the November elections.
