Kenyans are lucky to have elected Ruto, ODM would be worse; lawyer Donald Kipkorir

Renowned lawyer Donald Kipkorir has slammed ODM leaders over their recent rhetoric against Kenyans challenging President William Ruto administration
Renowned lawyer Donald Kipkorir has slammed ODM leaders over their recent rhetoric against Kenyans challenging President William Ruto administration.
In a statement on Wednesday, December 4, Kipkorir, a former die-hard of former prime minister Raila Odinga, stated that the 2022 defeat was a blessing to Kenyans.
Alluding to what is deemed a display of arrogance by ODM leaders in and out of the broad-based government, the city lawyer concluded Kenyans were lucky it wasn’t Raila in office.
“Sheer arrogance, hubris and sycophancy of ODM ministers and MPs against perceived enemies of the Broad-Based Government is proof that in electing William Ruto, Kenya dodged a bullet,” the lawyer stated.
This comes after Mining Cabinet Secretary Ali Hassan Joho and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed found themselves on the receiving end.
The leaders who previously criticised Ruto’s policies courted controversy as they went an all out attack on the president’s critics, including the citizenry.
Donald Kipkorir further issued a chilling warning to the leaders, arguing that they are being tolerated because of their excitement of getting into office.

However, Kipkorir stated that history provides evidence of what happens to sycophants who disregard citizens’ views. The lawyer stated that whatever the case, the leaders are eventually dumped by their masters, leaving them in limbo.
“Someone tell ODM Ministers in Kenya Kwanza Government that we all know how their excitement will end: In Tears! History is replete with what happens to political hirelings. If you are paid to be a cheerleader, you have an expiry date no matter what delusion you entertain,” he added.
Earlier, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi urged his colleagues in the opposition wing to address Kenyans with humility.
According to the lawmakers, the leaders’ show of arrogance makes the opposition look bad and valueless to any political cause in the future.
He reiterated on former DP Rigathi Gachagua’s fate, stating that his character of allegedly dividing the country contributed to his ouster.
