The Ministry of Education has announced that Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will be released by the national examinations body, Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Migos revealed in a statement that the results will be accessible on school portals.

The statement further urged parents and guardians of learners who wrote the exams to check the results as soon as they are released.

The Kenya Primary School Education Assessment learner reports will be accessible on school portals in the week commencing January 6, 2025.

A total of 1,313,913 candidates from across 35,573 examination centres sat for KPSEA in 2024.

The transitional assessment is administered to Grade 6 learners under the competency-based curriculum (CBC) to assess the progress of their primary education.

The pioneer cohort of the Competency-Based Curriculum will transit to Grade 9 this term. This is a major milestone in the roll-out of this transformative curriculum. To ensure seamless transition to Grade 9, the government initiated the construction of 16,000 classrooms countrywide in four phases. The completion status thus far is at 93%.

Candidates who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination will also have their results in the coming days with the government confirming that the results will be released within the first two weeks of January.

Education CS stated during a cultural event of the Abagusii community at Kenyoro Mixed Secondary School in North Mugirango on Tuesday that examiners are finalising on the marking of the KCSE exams ahead of the release of the results.
