Government announces 1,271 job opportunities in Qatar with salaries up to Ksh 73K; How to apply

Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced job opportunities in Qatar, offering 1,271 positions for Kenyans in various fields. 

In an update on Tuesday, February 18, the CS said a recruitment company has received demand for workers in multiple categories, including heavy machinery operators, drivers, mechanics and technicians. 

The roles provide competitive salaries and come with attractive benefits such as medical care, transport and accommodation provided by the employing company.

The available positions include Skid Loader Operators (40), Backhoe Loader Operators (30), Mobile Crane Operators (40), Roller Operators (15), Telehandler Operators (30), Excavator (LB) Operators (20) and Heavy Duty Drivers (300).

Others available positions are Water Tanker Drivers (20), Tower Crane Electricians (20), Hydraulic Mechanics (22), Diesel Mechanics (26), Lathe Machine Operators (15) and Heavy Equipment Operators (50).

Additionally, there are opportunities for General Repair Operators (15), Generator Technicians (14), Light Duty Drivers (EX GCC) (300), Heavy Duty Drivers (EX GCC) (300), and Rigger Operators (14).  

Most of these positions offer a monthly salary of QAR 2,080 (Ksh 74,048).

However, some roles have different pay structures; General Repair Operators will earn QAR 1,560 (Ksh 55,536), Generator Technicians and Light Duty Drivers (EX GCC) will receive QAR 1,800 (Ksh 64,080), while Rigger Operators will be paid QAR 1,560 (Ksh 55,536).  

Interested and qualified candidates must pay a processing fee equivalent to one month’s basic salary, which covers medical examinations and other pre-departure expenses. 

Interviews have been set for Wednesday, February 19, from 8 AM to 5 PM at either Leomar Court, 1st Floor, Suite 4, at the intersection of Chiromo Lane and Westlands Road (Next to GCC Building) in Westlands, or Tyme Arcade Building, 2nd Floor, Office 204 in Ongata Rongai.
