The State Department for Diaspora Affairs, through the Diaspora Placement Agency (DPA), has announced job opportunities in the Caribbean.

In a post shared on X, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs announced that applicants should hold degrees.
The job opportunities are in the fields of energy, statistics, agriculture, and engineering.
Interested candidates have been informed to submit their updated CV, degree certificate(s), passport Bio-Data Page/ Kenyan ID.
Interested candidates have been asked to apply for the job opportunities by May 30, 2025.

“The State Department for Diaspora Affairs through the Diaspora Placement Agency (DPA), wishes to inform the public about available opportunities in the Caribbean within the sectors listed on the poster,” the statement read.
The department cautioned Kenyans, asking them to note that DPA is the sole authorised agency for these opportunities and does not charge any recruitment fees.
The State Department for Diaspora Affairs is one of the two state departments in the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.
The State Department for Diaspora Affairs, also abbreviated SDDA, was established through a directive from President William Ruto in 2022 to address issues that concern Kenya’s Diaspora community.

The government, therefore, intends to engage the Kenyan Diaspora in a more constructive, inclusive, and productive manner to unlock and unleash their full potential.
The State Department for Diaspora Affairs is dedicated to championing the protection of Kenya’s Diaspora rights and welfare.
It is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for Kenyans living abroad, enabling them to thrive and contribute to the development of our great nation.
The department offers services to Kenyan citizens travelling or living abroad.
They include, helping Kenyan in distress and authenticating documents such as academic certificates, marriage Certificates, Islamic marriage and divorce certificates, adoption Certificates, certificates of Birth/Death, court orders, certified copies of an entry of marriage, certificates of no impediment to Marriage, driving licences, medical certificate reports, and police clearance certificates among many others.
