Arsenal “are angry” after Dusan Vlahovic was ‘forced’ into Juventus move; Lucas Torreira’s agent
Lucas Torreira’s agent has claimed that Arsenal “are angry” after Dusan Vlahovic was ‘forced’ into Juventus move.
Arsenal player Lucas Torreira’s agent feels the Gunners are dissatisfied after failing to sign Serbian striker Duan Vlahovic in the January transfer window.
Arsenal are enraged, according to Lucas Torreira’s agent, after losing out on Dusan Vlahovic to Juventus.
Vlahovic was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates last month after scoring 17 goals in 21 Serie A outings for Fiorentina before joining the Old Lady in January.
Mikel Arteta was said to be interested in signing the Serbian to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who joined Barcelona on Deadline Day.
However, Vlahovic favoured a move to Turin over north London, and he subsequently joined Juventus for £63million.
Vlahovic played alongside Lucas Torreira at Fiorentina before joining the Serie A winners, and the Arsenal loanee’s agent claims that the Gunners are unhappy with how things turned out.
Speaking to Sport890, Lucas Torreira’s agent, Pablo Bentancur, suggested Arsenal are not happy that a deal did not take place.
“Now, Arsenal are a bit angry because they wanted Vlahovic,” he said.
“Fiorentina wanted to sell him, but the agents said he had to go to Juventus.”
Arsenal are already getting a taste of what they could have won with the striker after Vlahovic opened his account for Juventus immediately following the move.
