This comes amidst his strong stance against President William Ruto’s administration.

On Monday, July 22, the lawmaker publicly hit out at the Head of State over what he termed as incompetency. While addressing residents of Homa Bay County, Owino expressed his support for the protesting youths.

“To the Gen Zs of this country, we are proud, we love what you are doing and we know the difference between President William Ruto and the Gen Zs,” Babu Owino stated.

Owino accused the state of negligence following the deaths witnessed in the recent anti-government protests. “Tomorrow we have a date with destiny and for something good to happen, something must break,” the vocal lawmaker remarked.
