Boeing 737 plane; A Chinese passenger plane with 132 people on board has crashed in a mountainous area of southern China.
The China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 plane was on its way from Kunming to Guangzhou when it crashed and caught fire in the hills of Guangxi province.
It’s possible that no one survived, although the exact number of people killed – and the cause of the disaster – are unknown.
Rescue workers have been dispatched to the crash site, where a fire in the woods triggered by the plane’s crash has been extinguished.
Videos being circulated on social media that appear to have been filmed by locals show plane debris strewn around the hills, as well as a raging fire and billowing smoke from the crash scene.
