Press Association chief football writer Simon Peach has reported that Fernandes has avoided serious injury along with all other parties involved in the crash.
It’s believed the 27-year-old and other passengers in the vehicle have not suffered serious injuries, although this remains unconfirmed.
It’s unclear how serious the crash was, how many other people were in the Porsche and how badly damaged the car is.
The Portugal international is expected to train with United on Monday afternoon.
United are yet to comment on the incident, as initially reported by the Press Association’s Simon Peach.
