Chelsea close to agreeing €60million for top class 23-year-old Jules Kounde
Jules Kounde transfer; Chelsea are reportedly close to agreeing on a €60million potential transfer deal for the Sevilla defender.
The brilliant 23-year-old has thrived in La Liga and appears to be on his way to a big move in the near future, with Chelsea a likely destination given their defensive woes.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Blues are nearing completion on a transfer agreement of up to €60 million for Kounde, who is expected to join Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea has done similar deals in the past, with Christian Pulisic being a recent example of a player who lingered at his previous club Borussia Dortmund for another six months after completing a move to west London.
With Thomas Tuchel in search of replacements for a number of Chelsea’s out-of-contract stars, Kounde appears to be the ideal candidate to step in as a key element of the Blues’ defense next season.
Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and Cesar Azpilicueta are all out of contract at the end of the season, and it would be a tremendous loss if they all left at the same time.
And signing of Jules Kounde would surely help to mend the situation.
