The Daily Nation on Wednesday reports how a long-running family dispute over prime land in Runda, where the Paradise Lost recreational centre sits, has drawn Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, and Gatundu North MP Elijah Kururia into court proceedings seeking investigations over their involvement in a contested land transaction said to span about 300 acres and valued at roughly Ksh 20 billion.
A long-running family dispute over prime land in Nairobi’s Runda area, home to the popular Paradise Lost recreational centre, has escalated into a high-profile legal battle drawing in senior UDA politicians.
According to a report by the Daily Nation, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, and Gatundu North MP Elijah Kururia have been named in court proceedings seeking investigations into their alleged links to the contested property.
The land, estimated to measure about 300 acres and valued at approximately Ksh 20 billion, is at the centre of a bitter inheritance dispute involving the estate of a deceased businessman.

Court documents indicate that rival family factions are locked in a struggle over ownership, with accusations of fraud, coercion, and political interference emerging.
In a dramatic twist, filings allege that Murkomen was seen at the property accompanied by several vehicles, a truck, and a group of armed individuals reportedly wielding machetes, in what is claimed to have been an attempt to assert control over the land.
One faction in the dispute accuses the other of using political connections to obtain ownership documents through a company identified as Pamat Enterprises.
The case also includes allegations of intimidation, including a reported attack on a petitioner’s daughter in April 2026.
The matter is scheduled for hearing on May 19, 2026, at the Kiambu High Court, where the court is expected to examine competing title deeds, claims of unlawful acquisition, and the broader question of rightful ownership.
