DP Gachagua calls out those in the Mt Kenya region for criticizing the Ruto government over the high cost of fuel.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said the people of Mt.Kenya are the number one supporters of President William Ruto adding that they voted him in en mass.
He said the Mt Kenya region should not be among those criticizing the government because it is them who formed it.
“I am asking you, please, please, my people of Nyandarua and Mount Kenya, this government is ours. You are the ones who elected President William Ruto. If others will throw stones, you should not be the first.
Gachagua noted that fuel prices is not a Kenya problem only but a global issue.
Gachagua said the fuel prices will drop with time since the President is doing his best to handle the situation.
He noted that the President has even reduced the cost of fertilisers in a bid to lower the costs of living for Kenyans.

In addition, Gachagua asked the Opposition to stop criticizing President William Ruto’s performance one year in office saying it is uncalled for.
“We are proud of the President’s performance; he has done well in his first year in office despite the numerous challenges. He has tried to streamline the economy,” said the Deputy President.
He spoke at Kiandege Primary School in Ndaragwa Constituency, Nyandarua County, during the funeral of Mama Teresia Wangeci, the mother of Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lieutenant General Jonah Mwangi.
Defending President Ruto’s performance- one year in office, Gachagua said Ruto has managed to stabilize the country’s economy and he should be applauded for that.
He asked Kenyans to continue supporting the President’s agenda saying Dr Ruto was on track.
“Let us pray for wisdom for the President to discharge his duties well. I am helping him as his Principal Assistant; the President is on the right track, he needs support,” said Gachagua as he told off Opposition politicians who have been criticizing the government.
