Four people killed two with others injured following a suspected Al-Shabaab terror attack in Dadaab, Garissa County.
At least four people were killed Friday and two others were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in was hit by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Garissa.
According to reports, the vehicle exploded killing the four on the spot while the two were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The victims were using a four-wheel drive car between Egge Dam and Bogyar along Dadaab-Garissa when the incident happened, police said.
The vehicle was badly damaged.
The injured were evacuated and rushed to a local hospital in serious condition, police said.
The driver had about 10 health officials who were conducting the Garissa County TB exercise when the incident happened.
The incident comes more than a month after a similar attack happened in the area.
This is even as the government has beefed up security in the troubled North-Eastern parts to battle criminal elements in the area.
