Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA) initiates mass registration for security guards and bouncers across the country.
The Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA) launched a nationwide registration drive for security guards and bouncers in an effort to improve accountability and regulation in the private security industry.
The program, which is being led by the PSRA and Ministry of Interior, began on Saturday, March 30, with the goal of assigning Guard Force Numbers (GFNs) to more than 30,000 private security guards.
The PSRA underlined the significance of legally required screening and registration of private security contractors and announced plans to expand the program to include more areas of the country.

Fazul Mahamed, Director General of PSRA, urged all security guards nationwide to participate in the registration drive, stating the significance of obtaining legal recognition.
“Registration gives you legality to work without fear and shame,” Mahamed emphasized.
To register, you can simply dial *222*33# on your mobile phone.
The registration process involves three steps:
Step one: Enter your national identification number.
Step two: Specify your county of work.
Step three: Finally provide the PSRA registration number of the employing security firm.
