Herman Manyora claims Dr Job Obwaka died because of Nairobi Hospital

Political analyst Herman Manyora has claimed that veteran medic Dr Job Obwaka died because of problems linked to The Nairobi Hospital, as emotional scenes marked the late doctor’s burial.

In his tribute to the late medic on Friday, May 15, during Dr Obwaka’s funeral at his rural home in Shatsala village, Kakamega county, Manyora suggested the hospital’s wrangles had contributed to the medic’s death.

Manyora did not mince his words as he delivered a gripping eulogy that certainly left a lasting impression on mourners gathered at the medic’s home.

He recalled the daughter’s pointed statement during the service, stating that her words captured the painful reality surrounding Dr Obwaka’s final days. “Hata wakati wa majonzi Bwana asifiwe.

Manake yeye ndiye mwenyezi wa kila kitu. Nilisikia msichana wa marehemu daktari akisema, “Hata ukijifanya nini, wewe si Mungu. Kuna mambo mengine ni ya Mungu tu.

Wewe huwezi kuwa Mungu.” There is certain ownership that belongs to God, and only God can own certain things,” he said.

The political analyst, who said he closely understood the battles Dr Obwaka had been facing, made the explosive allegation that stunned mourners on the doctor’s demise.

He made the chilling declaration, openly claiming that the premier health facility was responsible for his friend’s death and warned that he himself could be the next victim of the same forces at play.

“I’ve come to say pole to the family because Obwaka and I were at the same place for the same cause. If there is anybody who knows what happened, I don’t think it can be more than me. I don’t have the time. I’m not slotted in, but if I had been slotted in, I would have shared with you.

But in the one minute I’m given, let me tell you this: Obwaka alikufa kwa sababu ya Nairobi Hospital. Na kama kuna mtu mwingine atafuata yeye kwa sababu ya Nairobi Hospital, ni huyu ambaye amesimama mbele yenu, ambaye anaongea na nyinyi,’ Manyora stated.

The acclaimed political analyst claimed the problems affecting the hospital mirrored the wider issues facing the country.

He drew a direct parallel between the dysfunction at Nairobi Hospital and the rot he believes has taken hold of Kenya itself.

“Mambo ya Nairobi Hospital ni mabaya. Nairobi Hospital, I keep telling people, ni kama Kenya. Nairobi Hospital is a small Kenya, and Kenya is a big Nairobi Hospital.

All the challenges that face this country, you’ll find them at Nairobi Hospital,” Manyora noted.

Manyora told mourners that he, Dr Obwaka, and a few others, including a woman named Joyce who was present at the service, had entered the Nairobi Hospital governance battle with clean hands and no personal gain in mind. “Obwaka and I, and a few others, I can see Joyce here, she’s spoken, only wanted to help.

Mimi naambia watu, sisi hatukuwa na nia mbaya. Hakuna kitu tunataka huko. Hatutaki pesa. Lakini ukipigana na watu ambao wanataka pesa, uwe tayari hata kufa ama uachane nao,” he added.
