How Kenyans can access Germany jobs; PS Roseline Njogu
Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu has laid out the procedure on how Kenyans can access jobs in Germany after a labour agreement with Kenya.
Speaking on Wednesday, September 18, the PS noted that interested Kenyans can access the jobs by visiting the following websites: https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/ or https://www.deutschland.de/de/arbeiten-in-deutschland.
Njogu disclosed that, under the labor agreement, the Kenyan government addressed issues such as the recognition of Kenyan skills, accreditation of Kenyan professionals, and validation of Kenyan certificates.
She added that the agreement was the first of its kind, maintaining that it creates a framework for the diaspora jobs in Germany.
“What the comprehensive migration and mobility partnership agreement does is create a framework for those diaspora jobs in Germany. It’s a first of its kind agreement.
“Why work in Germany? Because you get to find a good job, a good wage or salary, and new experiences. But we are looking at it in terms of skills and technology transfer,” the PS explained.
On Friday, September 13, Kenya and Germany signed an agreement on labour, talent, and mobility during President William Ruto’s visit to Germany.

According to the State House, the purpose of the agreement was to provide a framework for cooperation and information exchange on labour mobility, apprenticeships, student training, labour market needs and employment.
“The two governments also resolved to work together to ensure fair and ethical recruitment practices, provide labour market information and cooperate in providing consular services for skilled workers, students and apprentices,” read the statement by the State House.
President Ruto urged Germany to capitalize on Kenya’s top-tier human capital, highlighting that it is among the best in the world.
“We have the best human resource capital which is young, energetic, creative, hardworking and innovative,” Ruto remarked.
