‘Hurry up’, ‘ Sign him already’: Chelsea fans excited over transfer rumour
Chelsea fans on Twitter are very excited about the transfer links of the club trying to sign Ajax player Nicolas Tagliafico.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in Tagliafico, according to TcY Sports. They have yet to make an offer for their 29-year-old to Dutch giants Ajax.
Marseille has also made touch to see if they can recruit the defender on a loan deal.
Ajax, on the other hand, is adamant about not permitting a loan move.
Barcelona has also been mentioned as a possible bidder for him.
Tagliafico, 29, is a left-back with a strong left foot who prefers to attack.
He hasn’t been as consistent in the Ajax XI this season as he has been in past seasons, but his reputation has increased across Europe since joining them in 2018.
In 153 games with the Amsterdam giants, the Argentine full-back has 14 goals and 20 assists.
On social media, a number of Chelsea fans are pressing the team to complete a deal for Tagliafico before the January transfer window closes.
Chelsea’s interest, unfortunately, does not appear to be advanced.
In the absence of injured sensation Ben Chilwell, they’ve had to make do with Marcos Alonso as their only available left-winger. Kenedy, the forgotten man, was also recently recalled from his loan.
The Blues must strive to find a solution for the second half of the season, as there has been a significant drop-off in the wing-back areas recently.
