I will run for president in 2027- Morara Kebaso announces
Activist Morara Kebaso has announced that he will be running for president in the upcoming General Election.
The lawyer made the announcement in an update on social media platform X on Monday, November 16.
“I will run for president of the Republic of Kenya. My tribe is the youth of Kenya,” he stated.
This development comes a week after Kasmuel McOure, another popular figure who rose to fame during the GenZ protests, joined the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party and rallied young Kenyans to join the party.
In a statement on Sunday, November 10, he stated that ODM is the party for the future, claiming that it is the largest pro-people party in East and Central Africa.

“If you’re willing to join a substantive political movement for a fair, democratic Kenya where everyone can live with dignity, consider ODM—the largest pro-people party in East and Central Africa!
“We’re revitalizing the Youth and Students’ Leagues and are calling on passionate young Kenyans to help shape our future. Stand with us,” he remarked.
Notably, Kebaso rose to fame through his activism against stalled government projects associated with President William Ruto.
His national tour, using the hashtag “Vampire Diaries,” highlighted mismanagement of taxpayer funds, attracting significant social media attention.
Born into a politically active family, Kebaso leveraged his background and skills in drama to engage audiences, blending humor with civic education.
