Jurgen Klopp’s incredible record overtakes Jose Mourinho and Alex Ferguson

Jurgen Klopp’s incredible record overtakes Jose Mourinho and Alex Ferguson after win against Watford in the Premier League.

Liverpool’s quest to go into the record books took a step forward this week in the Premier League.

The Reds claimed a 2-0 win over Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side remain one point behind leaders Man City in the title race, with their showdown at the Etihad Stadium to come next week.

Saturday’s win over Watford was also a big win as it emphasizes the impact and value Klopp has to Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s incredible record

The clash against Watford was Klopp’s 250th Premier League match in charge of Liverpool since he took over in October 2015.

Victory over the Hornets was his 160th win in that time, and it’s a significant milestone.

No other manager in Premier League history has achieved that many wins after just 250 matches in charge.

Jose Mourinho was the previous record holder with 158 wins, which he secured during his time at Manchester United in May 2017.

Sir Alex Ferguson won 152 of his first 250 Premier League matches, while Arsene Wenger claimed 146 victories in that timeframe.

Klopp has leapfrogged some of English football’s most iconic managers to now set a new benchmark.

However, Klopp is still some way behind in the pecking order when it comes to overall wins in the Premier League.

Ferguson is on 528 wins, a significant 368 ahead of Klopp.

Pep Guardiola already has 163 wins from his 220 top-flight matches in England, so he looks likely to break that record next season.
