Cracks in Azimio as Karua slams Raila Odinga and President Ruto over the implementation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.

In a statement on Sunday, March 31, Karua indirectly hit out at President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga over the report.

Karua claimed the bipartisan talks were meant to trick Kenyans who took to the streets to protest over the high cost of living.

She pointed out that the key intention of the NADCO negotiations was to create jobs for the elite, whom she referred to as ‘big boys’.

Karua, a principal in Azimio la Umoja, claimed the talks were also meant to push forward the Kenya Kwanza legislative agenda for the country.

“NADCO was all along meant as a pacifier for the restless masses, jobs for the big boys and pushing ahead the KK regime’s legislative agenda,” Karua said.

The NARC Kenya party leader urged Kenyans to deeply reflect on the kind of future they want and how they can achieve it.

“The urgent question which all people of goodwill must reflect on moving forward is what future do we want for ourselves and how can we make it happen,” she added.

Meanwhile, Kalonzo Musyoka who led the opposition at the negotiation table, also claimed the government was dishonest and non-committal in honouring its end of the bargain.

Her comments comes after the High Court suspended the implementation of the NADCO report.

The court decision followed a petition by an activist named Michael Muchemi who argued that the Supreme Court had exclusive rights to determine disputes related to the election of the head state as provided under Article 163(a) of the constitution.
