The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is on Tuesday set to release university and college placements for 2023 KCSE students
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is on Tuesday set to release university and college placements for 2023 KCSE students.
KUCCPS Board Chairman Cyrus Gituai said the available capacity in higher institutions of learning exceeds the number of students who sat KCSE in 2023.
He gave assurance that no learner will miss placement due to capacity.
“The total available capacity for training declared by Universities and Colleges was 1,078,806 which by far exceeds the total number of students who did KCSE last year,” Gituai said.
He noted that KUCCPS has the statutory mandate to place KCSE finalists to Universities and Colleges according to merit and their preferences, as well as maintaining fairness and equity in an efficient manner.
Gituai said that over the years, the Board has developed robust policies and internal control systems to ensure that the placement process is transparent, efficient, fair, and equitable.
The Service has the responsibility to disseminate information on available programmes, their costs, and areas of study prioritized by the Government.
