Laikipia Governor Nderitu Murithi to chair Raila’s presidential campaigns
Raila Odinga has picked Laikipia Governor Nderitu Murithi as chair of his presidential campaigns
Nderitu Murithi, the governor of Laikipia, has been named to chair the presidential campaign board of ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The board would be the driving force behind the former prime minister’s presidential campaign to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Governor Nderitu Murithi who is serving his first term is a former world bank economist and financial markets, expert.
He is the current finance, planning, and economic affairs committee chairperson of the Council of Governors.
In a statement dated January 5, 2022, Raila said, “The Governor of Laikipia, H.E. Hon Ndiritu Muriithi, has been nominated and accepted to become chair of the board of the Raila Odinga 2022 Campaign.”

Elizabeth Meyo has been named as the board’s chief executive officer.
Meyo is a consultant to the IMF and will be the secretariat’s chief executive officer.
She brings over three decades of administrative and strategic experience to the position.
Meyo will be the overall CEO of the campaign, implement its strategic and key decisions, head the campaign secretariat, and make all vital decisions.
She will be the sole campaign spokesperson.
