Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah reportedly among PSG’s 10 players shortlist to replace Mbappe
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is reportedly among 10 players Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have shortlisted to replace the departing Kylian Mbappe.
With his contract expiring at the conclusion of this season, Mbappe is anticipated to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.
PSG has begun the search for his replacement and has identified a number of candidates, including Salah.
The Egyptian is yet to sign a new contract with Liverpool, with talks apparently having stopped in recent months.
Salah’s compensation demands are apparently being rejected by the Reds, despite the fact that he is the team’s biggest star, having led them to multiple trophies and smashing records left and right along the way.
Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is reportedly asking for a sum around £300,000 and £400,000 in weekly wages, which would force them to surpass their very strict salary cap.
Many teams throughout Europe are hoping to take advantage of the poor situation between the two parties this summer in order to snare the two-time Golden Boot winner.
PSG is thought to be one of these clubs, according to Le10Sport. Salah is one of ten players PSG is interested in signing to replace Mbappe, according to the French publication.
However, he is not the club’s top priority, with Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund, who is wanted by Manchester City, and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich being their top objectives.
